• Wear costumes or clothing with reflective elements, or wear glow sticks or carry a flashlight.
  • Attach reflective stickers or tape to your costume to help be more visible.
  • Make sure you have something that boosts your ability to be seen on both your front and on your back.
  • Choose light colored clothing and costumes to be seen easier at night.
  • Avoid masks that block vision. Mask holes should be large enough to easily see through them.
  • Choose a costume that fits properly to prevent trips and falls.
  • Cross the street at corners, and check both ways before you cross.
  • Don’t cross the street between parked cars.
  • Walk on sidewalks or as closely as possible to the curb.
  • Trick or treat in small groups.
  • Ask your parent or caregiver to inspect all treats before you eat them.
